Dave Broad serves as our bass singer. A founding member of the Sonshine Boys, Dave has sung for Christ since his immersion on June 19th, 1966. Through middle, high school, and as a Bible college graduate, he has found music to be integral to his life. Dave also contributes harmonica melodies and says he plays a pretty “mean” comb and wax paper. He serves his church family as deacon, religious education director, Sunday School teacher, supply preaches for area churches, and assists his wife, Tammy, with church building custodial responsibilities. Dave is the proud father of three adult family members, Tom, Tim, and Tasha. He is a grandfather of two not-so-broad girls, Peyton and Jadyn, and two grandsons, Logan and Quinn. Dave is indeed a happy family man. Serving his community by employment at Pulaski Memorial Hospital since 1981, he is also sole lien holder for Alliance E.M.S., an Indiana certified ambulance service. Dave holds three board positions in Pulaski County and recently ran for County Council. His spare time is spent in quartet practices/concerts, teaching C.P.R./First Aid and as an evaluator for state E.M.T. classes. He enjoys Bible study, historical reading, hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, and general construction projects. He is looking forward to seeing you soon! |

We’ve added a great musician to our group. Bass guitarist, Chuck DeFord, has joined us as our bass guitar player and he just does an outstanding job! Chuck played with the local group “Light” for 23 years and we’re glad to have him as part of the Sonshine Boys group. | ||||||
Sandra as been involved with music most of her life. She and her twin sister, along with their college music teacher, have produced one CD and have traveled in many states to participate in revival meetings. Sandra has arranged music, directed many vocal combos, accompanied on either the piano or organ at numerous churches, and supervised the music as well as directing church choirs. She has also been involved with the Musettes Music club at Oxford, Ind. for over 25 years. She was entertainment chairman of Dan Patch Days at Oxford for several years, drawing entertainers from Chicago to Southern Indiana. After moving to Tampa, Florida she was a charter member of "Sugartime Singers", filling the spot as pianist the first year, then filling the position of director. This group is still singing, growing, and performing at many nursing homes, senior centers, churches in the Tampa area, as well as the Florida State Fair. Learning to play Southern Gospel music has been a challenge to Sandra, but serving the Lord in this way and with Godly men is a rewarding experience. |
